چکیده
The electrochemical formation of Neodymium–Nickel (Nd–Ni) alloys was investigated in a molten CaCl 2 –NdCl 3 (1.0 mol%) system at 1123 K. Cyclic voltammograms for Molybdenum (Mo) and Ni electrodes showed the electrodeposition/dissolution metallic Nd formation/dissolution Nd–Ni alloys, respectively. equilibrium potential 3+ /Nd determined 0.27 V (vs. Ca 2+ /Ca) by open-circuit potentiometry Mo electrode. potentials 0.48, 0.68, 0.95 V, corresponding to two-phase coexisting states (NdNi + NdNi ), 5 Ni), respectively, were confirmed using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy diffraction electrode electrolyzed samples. optimum electrolysis conditions Dysprosium (Dy) separation discussed, standard Gibbs energies calculated alloys.

Direct electrochemical reduction of titanium-bearing compounds to titanium-silicon alloys in molten calcium chloride
Titanium-silicon alloys have been electrochemically extracted from the multi-component titanium compounds in molten calcium chloride electrolyte. Sintered pressed pellets of titanium-bearing compounds served as the cathode, and the electrochemical experiments were systematically carried out at 900 °C, 3.1 V and 1000 °C, 3.8 V using a graphite-based anode and an improved inert-oxygen-ion-conduct...

متن کاملElectrochemical Formation of a p-n Junction on Thin Film Silicon Deposited in Molten Salt.
Herein we report the demonstration of electrochemical deposition of silicon p-n junctions all in molten salt. The results show that a dense robust silicon thin film with embedded junction formation can be produced directly from inexpensive silicates/silicon oxide precursors by a two-step electrodeposition process. The fabricated silicon p-n junction exhibits clear diode rectification behavior a...
متن کاملSurface Properties and Concentration Fluctuations in Sn-based Molten Alloys
A simple model based on the concept of a layered structure near the interface has been used to investigate the surface tension and surface segregation of SnPb and SnZn molten alloys. With increasing concentration of Sn, the surface tension (a) of SnPb alloys has been found to increase, while a of SnZn alloys decreases, a of both systems is smaller than the ideal value ZC, a,. Our study reveals ...
